They\u2019re expensive to process and damage bottom-line profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Returns accounted for&nbsp;$816 billion&nbsp;in lost sales for U.S. retailers last year, according to the <em>2022 Consumer Returns in the Retail Industry<\/em> report, conducted by the National Retail Federation.
