SUCCESS STORY
Purely Elizabeth is a founder-led brand built on a simple belief: when you eat better, you feel better. While studying holistic nutrition, founder Elizabeth saw a gap on grocery shelves – options were limited for nourishing foods people would truly enjoy – so she set out to create obsession-worthy granolas, oatmeal, and cereals with no tradeoff between nutritious ingredients and culinary taste. Made with innovative, often organic ingredients like Ancient Grains and Superfood Seeds, Purely Elizabeth products are Certified Gluten-Free, with select products also USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Vegan, and Certified Paleo and Keto by the Paleo Foundation – and all contain no artificial flavors.
Since its start in 2009, the company has grown from a kitchen idea into a certified B Corp with products on shelves in over 100,000 stores. But as distribution scaled rapidly, product data spread across multiple systems – creating inefficiencies and making it difficult to deployconsistent, accurate content across the digital shelf.

As Purely Elizabeth’s distribution footprint grew across retailers of all sizes with multiple fulfillment models, the complexity behind the scenes skyrocketed.
Systems to manage product content for in-store shelves, pickup and delivery, ship-to-home and marketplaces were increasingly fragmented, which created friction, duplicate work, and the need for manual checks and troubleshooting. Most importantly, it made it hard for the brand to show up consistently and accurately across digital shelves.
Purely Elizabeth partnered with Syndigo to bring clarity and confidence to how their products appear everywhere shoppers engage. The impact was immediate: complexity plummeted as the number of systems to be managed was reduced by 75%, and the team could enjoy one reliable source of truth for their content.
Fewer systems meant less complexity and fewer points of failure. Product data and content were centralized; syndication across retailers and networks became managed and predictable, and proactive monitoring replaced the constant cycle of reactive fixes. “Having our data and content centralized in Syndigo was huge,” said Victoria Vanderyken, Executive Manager, Sales Operations at Purely Elizabeth. “The consolidation alone made a difference.”

But what truly transformed the day-to-day was Syndigo’s managed services, which delivered hands-on support and freed up much-needed time and bandwidth for more strategic work. By putting much of the heavy lifting of content management and syndication in the hands of Syndigo, the Purely Elizabeth team can be confident its data is getting correctly sent to retailers and displayed to shoppers.

With countless hours of manual checks and content fixes off their plate, the Purely Elizabeth team could finally redirect energy toward more strategic efforts.

With Syndigo, Purely Elizabeth gained control and consistency across the digital shelf.
Data quality improved dramatically, and product detail pages now show up clean and accurate across major retailers like Wegmans, Target, Publix, Ahold Delhaize banners, Giant Eagle, Hy-Vee, PFG, Kroger, and Albertsons/Safeway.
“Some of our most important retail partners used to be spread across multiple systems. Now data gets to them cleanly. I check twice a week and don’t see the issues we used to have,” shared Victoria. That level of confidence means less time spent troubleshooting and more time focused on growth.
Through Syndigo’s direct connections and retail network—including Instacart, Shipt, and Mercatus—Purely Elizabeth now delivers consistent, accurate content across every shopping experience. “As long as we publish through Syndigo, we know retailers will get the content; even if they pull it multiple ways,” said Victoria.
During a major retailer’s planogram deadline, a retailer system outage prevented required item numbers from being processed, putting shelf placement at risk.
