1. Product Overview

1WorldSync Link Manager enables brand owners to link their product informationdynamically and flexibly in compliance with the GS1 Digital Link standard. By using a link onproduct packaging, typically as a QR code, consumers and other stakeholders can access avariety of information managed by the manufacturer in 1WorldSync Link Manager byscanning this link.

The use of the 1WorldSync Link Manager solution enables manufacturers to dynamicallyadjust the redirection of digital destinations to enable campaigns, specific customer needs orhighly dynamic content. This improves the flexibility and relevance of the informationprovided, even after the product is already on the market.

The GS1 Digital Link standard, on which the 1WorldSync Link Manager is based, defines aURL syntax that makes it possible to control different target addresses for different usergroups or use cases. The 1WorldSync Link Manager supports Link Manager users indynamically adapting content and addressing different target groups in a targeted manner.For example, consumers can access product information, while key accounts receivespecific information such as delivery details or specifications.

In order to make different link types and target addresses accessible, manufacturers need tocomply by ensuring that the relevant content is correctly maintained, updated and madeavailable for different target groups and applications in accordance with the requirements.

2. Services

The 1WorldSync Link Manager provides for centralized, dynamic management of the linkingof product information with varying target stakeholders. With this solution, manufacturers candefine target URLs via an intuitive graphical user interface, adapting them as needed.

Among many advantages, this solution ensures that QR codes (and therefore the linksthemselves) remain static on the packaging, but the target pages can be flexibly controlledby manufacturers using destination resolution to adapt to the current needs and contexts ofthe users.

Manufacturers can dynamically adjust the link targets to adapt them to current user needsand contexts, for example by making changes to campaigns or updating product information.This offers a high degree of flexibility and enables targeted control of the content to be madeavailable to specific user groups.

The GS1 Digital Link Standard defines a URL syntax that enables suppliers to encodevarious data points such as GTIN (Global Trade Item Number), batch, serial number orexpiry date in the links. The 1WorldSync Link Manager focuses on managing the targetaddresses and ensures that the relevant content can be provided for different target groups.By using camera applications on mobile devices, users can scan the links to access thestored information.

Dynamic target adjustment and management

By using the 1WorldSync Link Manager, manufacturers can dynamically adjust link targets.Even after a product has been launched, the flexibility to adapt link targets to specificcampaigns or updated information remains. 1WorldSync Digital Link follows the GS1 Digital Link URL syntax, which ensures a clear andstandardized structure of URLs. This guarantees that all redirects and destination addressescomply with GS1 standards and provide a consistent user experience worldwide.

3. Service Level and Availability

The 1WorldSync platform is operational twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days aweek, excluding downtime for outages due to issues beyond our control, downtime due toScheduled Maintenance, or any other force majeure event (“Excused Downtime”) andUnexcused Downtime. Any downtime that is not included as Excused Downtime is countedas “Unexcused Downtime”. “Availability” means (the difference between the total number ofminutes in a calendar month, less Excused Downtime, less Unexcused Downtime) with theresult divided by (the difference between the total number of minutes in a calendarmonth less Excused Downtime), as determined by 1WorldSync.

1WorldSync endeavors to provide system Availability of 99.0% each calendar month.

4. Data Entry

The 1WorldSync Link Manager supports the provision and management of links for different targetgroups and allows detailed management of product details. Manufacturers can use parameters such asGTIN, batch or serial number to customize the links precisely. URLs can be flexibly modified withoutthe need for re-design of packaging or related materials, ensuring that the data is alwaysup-to-date and target group-specific.
