Upgrade to Amazon UK GDSN
Amazon is making GDSN compliance a priority for all suppliers in the UK and Europe, starting now. This isn’t just a technical update: it’s a fundamental shift in how product data is managed, validated, and shared across the entire supply chain.
GDSN is now the gold standard for supply chain and customer-facing product data, from GTINs, package hierarchy, weights, dimensions and more.
Manual processes are being phased out. Amazon is replacing time-consuming, error-prone Excel audits with automated, hands-off GDSN data feeds.
Immediate impact: vendors who don’t connect their Global Location Number (GLN) and publish via GDSN risk shipment delays, inaccurate inventory, and even product delisting.
Fulfillment accuracy is critical. Case pack errors are a major customer trust issue. GDSN data eliminates these mistakes by providing precise, standardised signals at every stage.

Syndigo is the leading commerce data pool, trusted by 18,000+ customers across 50+ countries.
Here’s what sets Syndigo apart:
With Syndigo, you’re not just compliant, you’re ahead.

All attributes listed below must be accurately populated (achieve a 100% readiness score) before you’re able to publish data to Amazon GDSN. If Amazon changes its mandatory requirements in the future, those revisions will be reflected in the Syndigo platform. We have training videos detailing how to populate each of these attributes and our support team is always on hand should you require additional help.
Our platform has validation rules in place to help with the accuracy of data, eg for packaging weight, Amazon requires this measurement in Grams. If you tried to enter the data in lbs. (pounds), the platform would highlight the error and confirm the correct measurement, before allowing you to populate and share the mandatory attribute.
Yes, you can publish in packaging hierarchies at pallet, case and base level and we have a training video specifically detailing how to do this. We will provide links to the training materials when you subscribe to the service.

Please contact amazon@syndigo.com and a member of our team will be happy to discuss this with you.
If you want to use Syndigo to send data to Amazon UK via GDSN, an easy configuration will be to use a secondary GLN to make the registration to the GS1 Global Registry. This secondary GLN will have to be communicated to Amazon, following the Content Authorisation steps Syndigo will provide you. We will also create a link between your current GDSN provider and Syndigo to automatically receive product information from your original source to complete data communicated to Amazon.
Of course. Please contact amazon@syndigo.com with your questions and a member of our team will be in touch.
